What is a pancake?
In ancient books it is described "a pancake should be big as the sun, round as the sun, red as the sun, hot as the sun". In other words, the pancake should be baked on frying pan, from both sides and so served to a table. The ancient recipe is used and still is the guarantor of quality and success of Gusto restaurants.
How many kinds of pancakes there are?

It depends on the prepared dough. The dough for pancakes is made from three main components: flour, a liquid and a connecting element. Taste is given by salt and sugar. There can be as many sorts of pancakes, as there are sorts of flour (oatmeal, buckwheat, corn, rice etc.). Also it depends on what liquid we use for dough: water (drinking, spring, carbonated), cream, milk, kefir, yoghurt, fruit or vegetable juice, kvass, beer. The connecting element - egg- certainly plays an important role too. It can be divided into a yolk or white, before adding the doughy it’s possible to stir it up, it is possible to pound a yolk with sugar or salt to white or to stir the white up to the solidity, depending on a required taste, color and crust of pancakes.
What are "scones"?

"Scones" require much stiffer dough, than usual pancakes. “Scones” became popular much later than pancakes. In cooking of “scones” it is possible to experiment much more, to create a new taste. The dough for “scones” can be not only from flour, but also from vegetable marrows, courgettes, potatoes, carrots. Remembering the old traditions, it is possible to say that potato “sconesi” with meat appeared in Kedainiai when dukes Radvilos begun to grow up potatoes. They were called in their honour “scones” Radvilos. Later, potato “scones” were named "zemaiciu pancakes". Observing traditions and wisdom of generations, Gusto restaurants offer traditional “scones” and Gusto homemade "zemaiciu pancakes".

Pancakes are baked from the similar dough, but only from much liquid. The dough spreads on a special teflon surface with any additive or fat, it is fried until the crepe easily separates from the surface. Different fillings be added to the cperes game, fish, vegetables, mushrooms, sweet fillings.
